Located on the northern shoreline of Tampa Bay, St Pete Beach and it's surrounding Gulf Coast villages offer holiday makers long white sandy beaches, clean waters, a wide choice of restaurants, bars and shopping venues plus plenty of beach activities and entertainment.

A long thin barrier island with the Gulf of Mexico to the west and the intra-coastal waterway of Tampa Bay to the east, this is effectively one continuous 20+ mile stretch of beach running all the way from St Petersburg right the way north to Clearwater. This long coastline is home to several beach resorts offering slightly different levels of commercialism and their own individual atmosphere. St Pete Beach itself is the biggest and busiest resort offering a large selection of beachfront hotels and condo resorts, a wide range of restaurants and a lively atmosphere. At St Petersburg Pier you will find shops, a marina, fishing excursions and a popular aquarium. Further north are the slightly quieter beach villages of Treasure Island, Madeira Beach and Indian Shores. Highly recommended is a visit to Shell Key which can be reached by ferry boat from Merry Pier at Pass-a-Grille beach, this is a great snorkeling location and a wonderfully quiet, secluded beach.

Take a 5-10 minute drive inland to downtown St Petersburg and visit the busy city centre. Sample its art galeries, boutique stores, the Salvador Dali museum, BayWalk shopping mall, a huge choice of restaurants plus a vibrant nightlife.
