Amazing New York

Unfortunately on my most recent trip my outward Virgin flight was delayed by 24 hours at the last minute. As well as being upset at the fact I was losing a days holiday, I was panicking about how to let the car rental people at Orlando airport know I would be a day late. I need not have worried as one phonecall to yourselves on the afternoon of Saturday 20th Dec.from Gatwick was all it took. I spoke to Kate who completely reassured me and promised that she would contact them for me, and in fact called me back within minutes to say this was done and the car would be waiting for me when we arrived the next day. I myself am a manager in the service industry and very infrequently do we get an official thankyou. Kerry was courteous, knowledgable and empathic to my situation and dealt with my problem with great efficiency for which I am very grateful. Please convey my thanks to her and pass this e-mail to her managers as she is a credit to your company.

Just a note to thank you very much indeed for all your organisation with our flights. Everything went like clockwork we were transferred by minibus from one terminal to the other and didn't even have to go through check in we were given our boarding passes at the transfer desk. The luggage went straight through to Orlando from Edinburgh and the same on the return. Fly Be honoured the transatlantic weight and we had no problems whatsoever. I meant to write to you to say thank you for all your help. It was absolutely amazing! We saw four of the big five before we had done our first official game drive and Andrew almost got bored of seeing elephants and lions (although he fell in love with the leopards). Luckily, I didn't get eaten by a lion and they let me leave the country without adopting a child ;-) As we had seen so much by the time we got to the Masaai Mara, we did do a balloon flight and saw the long lines of wildebeast and zebra as the great migration had already started. It was a dream come true!

I don't think any other holiday could top this one! I have attached Andrew's two favourite photos to this email (I have over a hundred favourite photos although my cheetah friend comes out as the number one)

Back safely (considering hurricane Irene in NY) but have had an incredible adventure. It all went very smoothly with no arrangement glitches at all, so thank you very much.

Transport and hotels were all good but some feedback by exception for you.

Generally we probably arranged flights a little too early which meant getting up at 5am for most but still, it gave us more time on arrival. Nice comp upgrade at the Waldorf which was central and a perfect base. The Buffalo lodge was a good one night stop off. Lake Louise Fairmont was an exceptional location. Sunwapta falls was a roadside resort. V basic but v friendly. Could have done with something in Jasper to explore more easily. Gold Leaf was worth the luxury (feedback for Rocky Mountaineer - the Coast Hotel they put us in on the overnight stay in Kamloops really was appalling - dirty and old!). Vancouver Metropolitan was the kids favourite in a suite and on the 20th floor. Sheraton was a little dated but good location. Santa Cruz Mission Inn - OK as a stopover but nothing more. Monterey Plaza excellent but probably only needed one night The Anderson Inn in Morro Bay really was the best - exceptional, accommodation, view, decor, restaurant etc Mollie (the owner) and Jeff waited to greet us and I'd said they were perfect hospitality hosts and showed genuine care for their guests.

The private beach house was a perfect retreat to recharge on the for a week. Montecito was a good base to visit Hollywood, LA etc. In Vegas Planet Hollywood, whilst the rooms were excellent and it was central, the hotel wasn't really family friendly (accepting that Vegas is mainly for adults). It was a hangout for young adults who partied and drank en masse with bad language etc in the pool throughout the day. No trouble but we had to leave the pool by 11am and Security had a strong presence constantly checking passes on entry to the lifts.

Anyway, all in all an amazing holiday and thank you for putting together our travel plan, for your recommendations and not stranding us anywhere! I will certainly recommend Charter travel to friends and colleagues.

We have just returned from a wonderful trip to California and wanted to thank you for all your help with planning and arranging it.

The Radisson in Fisherman's Wharf was excellently placed and got us off to a good start.

The Best Western at Monterey also turned out to be excellent once we had upgraded our room. I'd gone for a non ocean view to save money but it was a mistake as the non ocean side of the hotel looks on to the raised section of the freeway and a business area - very noisy and ugly. The other side was like a different world and luckily we were able to upgrade - all you could hear was the surf and you could watch sea lions, seals & even dolphins passing by! The hotel staff were brilliant and it also had an excellent restaurant. I thought I'd pass this on to you in case other customers were hesitating about whether the ocean view was worth it.

The whole trip was amazing we saw such wonderful scenery and met lots of friendly and interesting people. We really loved it.

Thank you for your email. Yes we have booked our flights with you for next may and also two of my villa renters have also booked flights through George for next year. I have to say George was excellent in his approach and looking for our needs in fact he was more than helpful, I thought at one stage we myself might have become a pain in the bum in contacting him lol. However all your staff have always treated me well and always helped me and my friends when looking for flights or even carhire.

So we are more than happy with the service and I always will recommend Charter travel.

Thank you so much for arranging our holiday. It was fantastic, and everything went smoothly.

The villa was amazing, the children loved the pool, and the games room. The jacuzzi went down well with the adults as you can imagine. I have to admit that I was a little worried about the location of Marbella Villa's but it turned out in our favour, as there wasn't so much traffic. Kissimmee and International Drive was traffic jams and bumper to bumper most of the time (thought you might like that piece of info).

After speaking to others, I did very well to buy our Disney Passes and Universal Tickets from you too, as they were considerably higher at the parks.

I really cant thank you enough, we had an amazing time. We are now considering a christmas break to New York! I;ll call you soon!

Just wanted to thank you for arranging our holiday. We had a fantastic time - and you were right Royal Pacific was great. We loved the extra park time we got by staying 'in' Disney and Universal. Highlights definitely included a late evening in Animal Kingdom and an early morning in Typhoon Lagoon. The up-graded Dining Plan made live so much easier - and we had dinner at some wonderful restaurants including watching the fireworks from the California grill.

Thanks for your email. We had a lovely time thanks it all went smoothly.The Kempinski was super ,apparently the best in town! I hadn't realised it was a 5 star actually. The reception area was stunning, the staff and service was exceptional as was the magnificent breakfast. The room was quite nice, quite small and perhaps not in keeping with the rest of the place. Munich itself was a very nice City with lots to see and do, very clean and safe feeling.

Hiya Danny, We all just wanted you to know that we have all returned from Orlando after having a brilliant time. US Airways were great only delayed at Philly on way back but that was due to storms. The car hire was fab and we all enjoyed the space in the vehicle. The car hire firm was easy to use and drop off no problems. We had 2 weeks of 80/90 degrees so its a bit cold for us today and all secretly want to be back again. Theres rumblings in the family that we might try Barbados in a couple of years once weve saved up so you never know we might be bothering you again !!! We have just booked with you for our family holiday next year to Orlando.I just want to tell you that Mark has given us the best customer service (care) that we have received in a very long time. Firstly he listened to our needs and provided us with solutions whereas, Virgin Holidays, Travel City Direct and Ocean didn't. They all lacked flexibility and poor business sense as they all lost our booking where Marks service alone secured the booking. I can go on and on but I have already started to recommend you to our friends who also travel to florida every year.

We dealt with Alex through your tailormade holiday website. We were looking at booking for a group and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Orlando and gave us a really good price that we were ready to book. Unfortunately once it came down to actually booking some of our party backed out so after going back to Alex a couple of times and he met our requests for new quotes it all fell through. this was nothing to do with Alex as he had met all of our requirements and given us a good price.

As a family of 3 we will be looking still at going next year and I will certainly not hesitate to come back to Alex for a quote when the time is right.

Once again it's our family trip to Florida, all at the planning stage for July 2012. Rough dates are panned out and it's time to make our first and only port of call to charter travel. Our consultant this time around was George who like all the other consultants we have had the pleasure of dealing with in the past was fantastic. The options were explained fully between scheduled and charter flights but as George said to us we are not first timers to Florida so we are a little set in our ways and know what we want.

As usual we picked the virgin Atlantic flight as the price difference wasn't that much and we have only ever flown with virgin and know what service we get for our money. We usually only but a fly drive and park tickets from you but this year decided to add the villa as well, and we weren't disappointed George recommended a villa on Westridge which after seeing the pictures via email we were extremely happy.

We have been booking our Florida holidays with you since our first in 2004 and return to yourselves trip after trip. The reason the prices are competive but most of all the staff are cheerful and knowledgeable and really make us feel that our holiday is as important to them as it is to us. We constantly recommend you to our friends for their holiday plans.

A massive thank you to all at charter travel and are now planning and looking forward to next year's holiday, probably as it will be the last one as a family of 4 as the children are now getting that bit older and more than likely we will be one missing after this trip.

I have just booked a Disney holiday through Sarah and have found her so helpful, nothing has been too much trouble for her. We all had a fantastic time; Flights were good and the villa at the Hamlets, Westhaven was superb. Weather was perfect and we all wanted to stay for longer but work unfortunately beckons on Monday.

Hi Aidan, We have just got back from our family holiday to Florida that we booked with you and I just wanted to say how pleased we were with the whole package from the hire car to the hotels that you selected. The hotel in Miami was just what we wanted and in a perfect location. The Clearwater Marriott we loved and were given a room on the 10th floor with fantastic views overlooking the bay where we frequently watched the dolphins. It was just what I wanted to celebrate my 40th birthday!!

We are already thinking we would like to return next Easter - maybe to the same hotels or maybe try somewhere different.

Dear Dawn, I am contacting you so that you and Charter Travel are aware of how gratefull our family are to Sarah for all her help advice and professionalism during our dealings with her, from start to finish she was always on the end of the phone to answer anything I asked her. For us, this holiday was very important on many levels, and after dealing with 'HIGH STREET' travel companies who just tried to sell me what they wanted to sell me I was amazed that Sarah listened to our requirements, advised various options and gave us time to make our minds up. I would have no doubt in recommending sarah to anyone, and if i may say so would be an excellent trainer to other operatives I think she is a very valuable asset to Charter Travel. Hi Tony. Thought I would let you know holiday over :( Flight was fab on way back - we were on Virgin Plane 'Barberella' and they have updated their entertainment! Interactive and fab. Even seat : seat chat and lots of games and about 30 films to choose from as well as being able to pause and save for later options. We stopped at Indian Point. The Villa was great. We have been customers of Charter Travel for several years now and have always been very pleased with our experiences of how your team do business and the value for money you offer, particularly in the competitive world we live in.

Although I do use the internet, I do believe that when it comes to booking a holiday, sometimes involving considerable sums of money, that you cannot take the place of being able to talk to experienced customer service staff member. Consequently we compliment the company and its staff whenever we can which, after all, is based on our experiences! Having previously worked in a customer facing business myself for over 30 years, it is too easy to just complain about those things that don't go quite right and forget to say a simple thank you when things go well. A 'thank you and well done' can make a huge difference to how that staff member can feel about themselves and motivate them to do even better at their work. In our experience your staff have always been courteous, very efficient, responsive to needs and knowledgeable. Please keep up the good work!

Everything was planned to perfection and all of the instructions etc sent to us were fantastic. The villa was beautiful and in a fantastic location. There were a number of shops, including a Publix supermarket and take-aways, just 3 minutes away and a straight run up Old Lake Wilson road, taking around 8 minutes, put you on the 192 two miles away from Walt Disney world.

I cannot recommend Charter highly enough and have already passed your details on to a friend who subsequently booked and flew out as we arrived home.

I have used and booked with Tony on a number of occasions now and I just want to say how great he is, very efficient, quick and friendly, to the extent that I do not even look anywhere else for travel now. He goes one step further every time to meet my needs, even to the extent that after confirming our booking to Las Vegas yesterday, he was also trying to sort out a trip to Amsterdam for me and my comments re hotel went 'well the one I stayed in last time was really nice, can't remember its name but it was Japanese' he immediately found it! I am not the easiest person to book for but he makes the whole process simple and always provides exactly what I require.

He is a credit to you and I always recommend him to all my clients and friends alike.

As per phone conversation just a note to say a big thank you to you and to the rest of the Staff at Charter for all the 'running around' you had to do to try and sort out our return flight after Air France moved flights from Thursdays to Fridays. We really appreciate all the hard work that had to be done to rearrange flights, accommodation and car hire - just confirms why I recommend you to friends, family and work colleagues when I'm asked about holidays to Florida.
